Travel on the N6 if you coming from Port Elizabeth / East London etc. or Gauteng / Bloemfontein up to Aliwal North. In Aliwal North at the Dutch Reformed church you will turn Left (if coming from the north) or Right (if you come from the east) on to the R58 towards Barkly East.
Stay on the R58 and pass the Sterkspruit turnoff and the Lady Grey turnoff. From the Lady Grey turnoff it is 17.5km until you reach a sign saying Lupela Lodge and Karnmelkspruit River Resort. At this sign you turn off to the Left on to a gravel road. Keep on this gravel road for 5.4 km. The road end at Lupela Lodge.
If coming from Barkly East, Rhodes Elliot Maclear travel also on the R58 and turn off at the Karnmelkspruit River Resort sign on your Right side and continue as describe above.
